In Beneath the Seas Above, you are a marine biologist and researcher of the near-future, tasked by your supervisors to grow and cultivate an aquatic ecosystem in previously uninhabited alien waters, while furthering your research into extraterrestrial oceanic life. This idle management game will have you handle an aquatic environment, introducing and evolving new creatures in its waters, who will in turn harvest and produce resources from their surroundings. You’ll use these resources to further your research, discover breakthroughs in new species and technology, submit reports to your supervisors, and finally publish an encompassing thesis in the wake of a bustling, unique ecosystem of your own creation.
